Experience the Manley MAHI®, refined vacuum tube amplification

The Manley MAHI Monoblocks deliver full vacuum tube performance in a compact monoblock architecture optimized for high-efficiency loudspeakers. Utilizing EL84 pentodes in push-pull configuration with switchable Triode and Ultra-Linear modes, the MAHI provides exceptional transient response and dynamic articulation. Hand-assembled in California with premium components including German WBT binding posts, these monoblocks combine refined all-tube circuitry with versatile operating controls for precise system matching.

Dual operating modes for distinct sonic presentation

The MAHI offers selectable Triode and Ultra-Linear topologies, each delivering characteristic performance attributes. Ultra-Linear mode provides 40 watts of output power with extended bandwidth and controlled damping for dynamic precision and fast transient tracking. Triode mode delivers 20 watts with enhanced midrange harmonic structure and dimensional imaging, ideal for intimate listening sessions and acoustic material. This operating flexibility enables precise tailoring of amplifier characteristics to musical content and personal preference.

Enhanced power supply with adjustable feedback topology

The MAHI incorporates high-capacity reservoir capacitors providing 115 joules of energy storage for improved low-frequency extension and transient authority. A three-position negative feedback selector (Minimum, Standard, Maximum) offers continuously variable control over damping factor and harmonic character. Combined with the all-tube signal path, this architecture ensures exceptional dynamic range and musical engagement across extended listening sessions without listener fatigue.

California craftsmanship with premium components throughout

Each MAHI monoblock is hand-assembled in California to Manley's exacting standards for professional audio equipment. From carefully selected EL84 output tubes to German-manufactured WBT binding posts, every component is chosen for superior sonic performance and long-term reliability. The MAHI represents precision vacuum tube engineering designed to deliver natural, uncolored musical reproduction for decades of dependable operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Manley Mahi monoblocks are high-fidelity, all-tube power amplifiers designed for a variety of demanding audio applications, particularly in home and studio listening environments. Their primary application is to drive a pair of high-efficiency loudspeakers, where their nimble and musical character can truly shine. They are perfect for audiophiles and engineers who want a clear, detailed, and dynamic sound that brings recordings to life with a sense of space and liquidity.

The Mahi amplifiers offer two distinct modes for different sonic experiences. Triode mode, which provides 20 watts of power, is a simpler circuit configuration that delivers a sweeter, more textured, and warmer sound. It's often preferred for intimate music genres and for its effortless liquidity and musicality. Ultra-Linear mode, which provides 40 watts, is a more powerful and articulate configuration that provides a tighter, faster, and more controlled sound. This mode is excellent for a wider range of music genres, where a more dynamic and energetic presentation is desired.

The adjustable negative feedback control on the Mahi amplifiers allows you to tailor the amplifier's damping factor and sonic character to your speakers and your personal taste. MIN (minimum feedback) provides a looser, more open sound with a lush, fluid character. STD (standard) provides a more balanced sound with a great sense of control and detail. MAX (maximum feedback) provides a tighter, more solid, and faster sound with a high degree of control over the speaker's woofer. This versatility allows you to fine-tune the amplifier to your specific setup.

The Manley Mahi amplifiers utilize the EL84 vacuum tube in their output stage. The EL84 is a compact and highly efficient power pentode known for its musicality, dynamic response, and sweet tonal character. It provides a warm, rich sound with a beautifully liquid midrange that is often preferred by audiophiles. The EL84’s reliable performance and smooth sound make it a perfect choice for an amplifier designed for pure musical enjoyment.

The Mahi amplifiers are best suited for high-efficiency loudspeakers (90dB sensitivity and higher) that present a stable impedance load. Their high-current drive and powerful, musical sound allow them to pair exceptionally well with a wide range of speaker designs. The ability to switch between Triode and Ultra-Linear modes, along with the adjustable negative feedback, allows you to fine-tune the amplifier’s output to perfectly match the characteristics of your speakers, ensuring an optimal performance.

The Mahi amplifiers are sold as single, monoblock units. To create a stereo system, you must purchase a pair of Mahi monoblocks. The monoblock design provides the ultimate in channel separation, as each amplifier has its own dedicated power supply and chassis, ensuring that the sound from one channel does not interfere with the other.
