Headphone Amplifiers and…Boots?
Let’s go back in time, to EveAnna’s kitchen…
A few years back, EveAnna Manley was in her kitchen having a conversation with one of our industrial designers, and one question kept coming up:
“Why do all amplifiers have to be a square toaster oven box?”
We recently unearthed the notepad she used to sketch up some proposed designs that day in the kitchen:
How about a curvy chassis, with the tubes featured out in front?
Or what if we put the transformer on the BOTTOM and made it like a BOOT?
OK: transformer on top, with some nice curvy side cheeks and a rotary volume wheel…
Voila! The final result: the Absolute Headphone Amplifier.
